Hanging Fish Bowl Aquarium

What kind of filter for a 3 gallon goldfish bowl?

I have two goldfish in a 3 gallon bowl with no filter or aeration. I was told by the woman at the pet shop that this is fine; however, research tells me two goldfish are too many for my bowl, and so I plan to upgrade my tank to a larger aquarium with a filter system a few weeks. Until then, is it advisable to get a filter for the goldfish bowl?

The woman at the petshop told you wrong.

There aren’t any filters that work well for a bowl of water that small. I would get an airpump to aerate the water and continue changing it as you are doing. Goldfish are pretty hardy fish, and waterchanges like you are doing will probably be fine.

Definately get them into a bigger tank as soon as you can.
